Featured Dallas Dog Trainer
Mark Hoffman has trained dogs for more than 13 years and opened Peak K9 because of his love for dogs and the rewards of seeing the bond between a well trained dog and their owner.
His interest in training started with the adoption of his first dog, Smokey, a 7-month old German Shepherd. Smokey was born at Ralston Purina Farms and did not get the socialization that is most important in a young puppy’s life. Mark realized that the urban environment he was bringing Smokey into would be overwhelming and stressful for him. This was the beginning of Mark’s dog training passion. He had to teach Smokey, along with basic obedience, how to climb stairs, get use to: traffic, big crowds, public spaces and kids. This took time, patience and a calm, but assertive attitude.
Mark is trained and experienced in both conventional leash training and the cutting edge techniques of remote collar training. A method of training that is easier on the dog, less frustrating for the human and gets results the quickest.
Training is tailored to the needs of you and your dog and typically conducted in your home each and every training session not like others that only come for (1-3) then expect you to show up for group sessions.
For Mark training is about the dogs that have touched his heart and the ones he has helped to stay with families that had lost hope of having a well-behaved dog. He stays in touch with his clients, as most of them become friends.
